Wind Power

Wind turbines are not a new technology and have been used for
decades in forms of basic technology like wind mills.

Some of the advantages of wind turbines are; the wind is free
and with modern technology it can be captured efficiently, once the
wind turbine is built the energy it produces does not cause green
house gases or other pollutants, although wind turbines can be very
tall each takes up only a small plot of land. This means that the
land below can still be used. This is especially the case in
agricultural areas as farming can still continue. Remote areas that
are not connected to the electricity power grid can use wind
turbines to produce their own supply.

Earth Power offers a range of turbines starting at 300w up to
20kw, the entry level turbine start up speed is 2.5m a second which
is one of the lowest start up speeds on the market and reaches the
rated speed at 8m a second with an automatic break with provides
protection from high wind speeds.
